Bare Face Beauty Challenge

On Friday, December 27, 2013, women from all parts of this globe will be participating in the Bare Face Beauty Challenge. Will you be one of them?

Sign up below, at the end of this post.

There was a time in my life [circa 2005-2010] where I piled make-up on my face.

I first started exploring life without make-up in April 2009 when I started going bare face for about 2 months. I later started wearing make-up again, although very light and barely there.

It was only in the last year that I have been completely bare faced for almost a year now.

Check it out.

I am not here to give make-up a bad name. I know this will probably heat some people up who love make-up.

Recognize that I am not here to say make-up is wrong or bad. That is not my job. I am not even approaching from a religious perspective. You are free to do what you want with yourself. I am simply sharing a perspective.

I will also admit that make-up is pretty awesome and can do some amazing things. I admire it, but simply have decided that I am grounded and comfortable in my choice not to wear it publicly anymore.

The problem is make-up. The problem is when women are afraid to show their true selves. The problem is when we look to hide our flaws. This sends a terrible message to our young girls. My goal for this challenge is to see a sisterhood of women come together and embrace their natural beauty for one day.

Let’s do this for all the young girls out there who are *BEGGING* for us grown women to love ourselves. 🙂

When we love ourselves, we teach our girls that it is safe for them to love themselves.

P.S. If one day without make-up terrifies you, then that is a SIGN that you NEED to do this.

Trust me. I know it’s hard. I used to feel the same way.

But if I can get married without a drop of make-up, then you can do this for one day…

Here’s a picture for proof:

JazakAllah khair ladies.

Stay excited and share this with all of your friends 🙂 !!!!!
